Description:
Dermot O’Flynn is the Director of Professional Development & Corporate Training at the Institute of Leadership. He currently provides class room and online courses on Performance Management, Leadership in Healthcare, Customer Experience Management, Coaching Skills, Managing High Performance Multidisciplinary Teams, Personal Effectiveness, Stress Management, Patient Safety Time Management and Advanced Training Skills for Clinic Trainers. Over the last twenty years, Dermot has provided training and consultancy services on a full-time and consultancy basis to a range of global companies, in Ireland, Europe Middle East and Africa.

Description:
Michael Comyn is an associate faculty member of the Institute of Leadership. He is a Master Trainer, broadcaster, consultant and communications specialist and has delivered training for the last 23 years. He holds an honours degree in management, a Master of Business Studies in Management and a Diploma in Business Studies and is a licensed Stress Management and NLP Practitioner. He coaches individual senior managers and practitioner in industry and is CEO of the Fearless Organisation. More recently he has developed a series of seminars on the Personal Effectiveness and Resilience, where he encourages participants to examine the nature of their own life and work and the quality of life it is giving them.

Description:
Brendan is an associate faculty member of the Institute of Leadership and brings with him 20 years experience in the private and public sectors. He is a graduate of Business Studies and Hotel Management and is a qualified training consultant. Brendan has managed a variety of different training projects both in Ireland and internationally with companies such as Dublin Area Teaching Hospitals, St. Luke’s Hospital, St. Vincent’s Private Hospital, Mount Carmel Hospital, Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children, Merck Sharp & Dohme, Pfizer, The College of Psychiatry of Ireland, Allied Irish Bank, Coca Cola and Diageo, providing tailored training programmes in New Zealand, Australia, USA, as well as here in Ireland.

Description:
Kathleen Kinsella is an associate faculty member of the Institute of Leadership
and in her role she is involved in lecturing, consultancy, facilitating action
learning sets . She has over 28 years experience in both private and public
healthcare sectors in Ireland. Her career began as a registered general nurse
and over the years she progressed from acute hospital care to the medical sales
area working as a sales representative and clinical specialist for both
multinational and indigenous companies.

Description:
Philippa is an associate faculty member of the Institute of Leadership and is
also employed as the Acting Nurse Practice Development Advisor for Nurse
Practice Development with the Adelaide and Meath Hospitals, incorporating the
National Children’s Hospital, Dublin. In 1998 Philippa obtained her
Degree in Nursing Studies, with Honours from the University of Dublin, Trinity
College. Shortly thereafter Philippa successfully obtained her Masters in
Nursing Science also with the University of Dublin, Trinity College. She is
currently writing up her PHD. More recently Philippa graduated as a Six
Sigma Process green belt graduate in addition to being a facilitator on the
Meeting Facilitation Skills programme. Philippa has worked in a variety
of clinical settings in addition to more recently working on practice
development projects and initiatives, including a substantial workforce
planning project in collaboration with Beaumont Hospital Dublin.
Philippa’s specific areas of interest and expertise include: project
management, healthcare documentation, medication administration, workforce planning,
meeting facilitation skills, reflective practice and the changing health
service to mention just a few.
