About Us

The RCSI has been providing leadership& management training for health professionals in Ireland andinternationally for over twenty five years and established the Institute ofLeadership in 2005 to bring together various activities in this area. The RCSIhas educated leaders in the health professions for over 220 years and theInstitute of Leadership is now building on this tradition by educating thehealthcare leaders of tomorrow. As Ireland's only third level institutiondedicated exclusively to developing the leadership & managementcompetencies of health professionals, the Institute has grown rapidly with over500 students currently registered on postgraduate programmes in leadership,management, quality, patient safety and organisational development.

The mission of the Institute is to improve healthcare through the developmentof excellent leadership & management competencies of health professionalsand their organisations. While the Institute is an academic institution, itmaintains close connections with the world of healthcare delivery and itsprogrammes are characterised by flexibility, speed of response, customerservice and a blended learning approach that allows health professionals toundertake learning while continuing their work. The Institute has bases in Dublin,Bahrain & Dubai.  Programmes are also delivered in Abu Dhabi, Egypt,Jordan, Qatar & Saudi Arabia.
